Planning your visit
A class or a fair?
Choose a taught workshop if you want to practise a technique; choose an open studio or fair if you want to browse makers’ work. Booking arrangements differ: some classes are run by visiting tutors, so use the contact or booking link attached to that particular class.
Parking and public transport
The Art Room directs drivers through the black gates marked with its logo at the bottom of Lime Grove. It describes the on-site car park as small and suggests the council car park on Princess Street if it is full. Bus stops are on Derby Road at the top of the street.
Access to teaching rooms
The venue lists low-threshold double doors into teaching spaces and accessible toilets. Confirm access to the specific room or studio you will use, particularly for a larger event that uses several parts of the building.
